Assuming that the leaked slide from a few months ago showing an array of colors splashed onto the Dell Streak's body was a preview of what will actually be available when the device is released in the US (whenever that is), which one will you get?
The Streaks currently on sale in the UK and handed out for the beta test in the US are black, but the red one definitely exists in more than just the image above. Michael Dell has been seen with his cherry red Streak for months now, and the unit that Wired played with just last week was red as well. So at the very least, the red Streak is real.
I'm terribly unadventurous when it comes to gadget colors so even though I already have two black Streaks, my third one (I plan to sell both of them once the official US version is released) will be black too. There may be some nice options offered through the company's Design Studio, but I'd rather go with a color I know I'll always like and then maybe apply a removable design (maybe Skinit or GelaSkins will make something) if I ever feel less boring. What about you?
If it comes out before I lose interest/buy the Captivate, I will go black or red, probably black since Dell is known for charging extra for the splashes of color on their items. Kinda pointless to buy extra color if it will be covered by a case.

I would really love the pink but I know that would be harder to re-sell in the future. So, I would probably get red.
I’m partial to red, and I like the red that is on some of their laptops. (All the E6400 laptops we buy for our company are that same red.)
But if they have a bright, eye-popping yellow, I’d go for that.

Im in the UK and have been waiting for the Red one to be released. I’m starting to think the only colour that the Streak will be available in is Black. I really want this phone but I just don’t like the black

the release of the Dell Streak is taking waaaaaaay too long. Especially because it is being released to ATT first and we are with Tmobile so it looks as if we will be waiting longer than others. That is going to hurt the most. Seeing those peeps w/ATT showing them off but what are you gonna do? I am still going to get one. BLACK of course(w/Case) or get it painted by Colorware. Come on Dell!

I’d have to see them in person and see how bright the colors are but I like the red and the blue one. If only black is available at launch I am definitely going to wait.

Actually only 3 months. Samsung will be releasing its tablet before october. 1.something MHz processor at least 512 ram, 1024 resolution 7″ screen, front and rear cameras, reports of an amazing battery. The only question is how big is too big. 7″ is my max. For some it will be 5″s and the Streak will be the best device that size for some time to come.

Personally, the color I would really like to see is not there. I don’t want a glossy finish that shows grease and scratches, I want a matte gray, the gray that photographers call neutral gray or 18% gray. Looks clean and elegant and when those fancy glossy colors start wearing down to the metal or plastic, the gray will still look good.
