HTC EVO can charge/sync in custom-built wooden dock for $49
Docks and cradles for the HTC EVO 4G are a dime a dozen these days, so it's not often that we come across something unique and handmade. But here it is, a custom-built wood and brass dock that its creator, woodguy32, will make with the solid hardwood (cherry, maple, oak) and finish (hand-painted marble, rusty metal) of your choosing.
The dock features a built-in USB cable for connecting to a computer or plugging into a USB wall outlet (no HDMI), an "old world style" that reminds of me of a shoe shine stand for some reason, and what looks like plastic or rubber back rests so that the phone can lean back in comfort and not get scratched.
Woodguy32 can make the dock for any smartphone with a microUSB charge/sync port, so you need to tell him that you want one for the EVO to make sure it fits in the seat and the plug is in the right place.
Here's the HTC Incredible sitting in the dock to give you an idea of how the larger EVO would look in it.
Assuming that the size of the seat is standard, it looks like the EVO would have no trouble sitting in it while wearing just about any sort of case and maybe even an extended battery (double-check before ordering).
The made-to-order dock costs $49 and woodguy32 asks that you allow 1-2 weeks for delivery.
