This is a PHONE, right? WHY are you not focusing on the SOUND QUALITY of the PHONE and RECEPTION??
I am SO tired of “cell phones” that try and be everything BUT “a phone”!! They fail miserably at the thing that they are sold as. I have a Motorola Droid 3 and it (along with nearly every other phone) keeps me and the people I talk with constantly asking “What did you say?”…OR, Can you repeat that please?”
It’s not just me. I’ve asked this question of many other cell phone users and they have just come to accept it. After talking about it, we all agreed that the “cell phones” of appx 10 years ago had a MUCH CLEARER sound and longer battery life.
WHY can’t they make a phone that CONNECTS without having to run around to find a “sweet spot”, very clear audio and a battery that will last a FEW DAYS between charges?? After all, this IS a *PHONE*, isn’t it?? This review doesn’t even comment on this HUGE point. In fact, we have just come to accept CRUMMY, reduced, 16-bit audio as “NORMAL” these days! WHY??
PERSONALLY (and many other people agree), I would rather have a PHONE that sounds great and lasts a few days AND a separate “device” that connects to the Net, plays media and games. That way, I ALWAYS have the CRITICAL PHONE and it won’t be jeopardized because I had the desire to watch a movie or play games while “waiting/riding/jogging/driving” (etc).
When will we have “phone reviews” that actually *REVIEW THE PHONE* and hold these companies accountable???
