Samsung Galaxy S III to come with quad-core processor, LTE on-chip

Gsiii

I know a lot of you have been waiting a long time for the Samsung Galaxy S III. In fact, you've probably been waiting for so long that any news at all about the phone is like drinking water after a drought. Luckily for you, I get to be your raincloud today.

A Samsung executive confirmed a couple of specs for the new phone today. First up is the processor. The exec claimed that the GSIII will include a next-generation, quad-core Exynos CPU. The second rumor relates to the processor, as well, but it's more about the connectivity that the GSIII will offer. The new Exynos will have LTE and WCDMA directly on the chip itself, so you can expect some quick data transfer speeds on the big carriers in the US.

That's all the new information that we know of right now, though. Hopefully we won't have to speculate for much longer; after all, the new iteration of Galaxy S devices was supposed to be announced during CES, but I'm optimistic that these comments mean the phones will be ready soon.
