Well, what do we have here? Sprint and HTC have been sending invitations to a select few members of the tech press, for a joint event that the two companies will hold on April 4 in New York City. HTC President Jason Mackenzie and Sprint CEO Dan Hesse will both be there, but as of now, that's pretty much all we know.
The timing is very interesting, as there have been rumors floating around about a new HTC EVO, codenamed the HTC Jet, that could be released as early as June. Apparently, this new device is identical to the previously announced HTC One X that will be released on AT&T, except it will be compatible with Sprint's network, of course. In any case, this mysterious event will take place one day before the HTC One X and One S will be released in the UK.
We'll all know more in a few weeks, but until then, feel free to speculate away!
[Boy Genius Report] Thanks, John!

Awesome!
You’re welcome. If I find any other news, I’ll let you know
18 months left on my contract…this new phone is a non-issue for me.
Hmmm… was thinking about switching to ting but maybe I’ll hold off a bit. My work pays most of my phone bill anyway so I’d stay for a sweet new EVO. Ting doesn’t have much for phone choices right now.
If it comes with a crap battery(1800mAh) we all should pass until they put a decent battery on it. All the Razor Maxx love their phones, fast and two full days of battery use.
This a good thing. I am hoping that HTC changes the non SDcard slot on the “Jet”. The lack of a card slot will be a deal killer for me.
Crappy Battery, double the size HTC. BATTERY MUST BE USER REMOVABLE/REPLACEABLE
Yeah, I too want removable battery and micro sd slot. I’m almost ready to retire my EVO 4G. It has served excellent!
My upgrade is due in June? I haven’t seen where in any specs on websites where they list whether it’s 16 gigs or 32 gigs does anyone know? Here I went from the EVO 4G to the 3D and was glad to have more space but now I am out of space on my 3D almost. So going from 4 to 16 would be ok for me I guess but I would love 32. I don’t like the fact you won’t be able to swap batteries though I hate that. Not having an sd card slot doesn’t bother me that much if were getting 16 or 32. I am sure I’ll still get it though.
Ya gotta be 32gb my 16gb ain’t cutting it any more lol
Needs… Removable battery (root happens), sd slot or tons of space, Kickstand (for the love of god) and maybe even red ring around camera lense!!……. All things that made our evo4g.. Well an evo.
Thoughts? Thanks for the info.
Ps. The idea of the evo4g was to be (first and different)… I don’t want the same phone with different title on another carrier… What’s the point. Just saying
For the love of the camera, I certainly hope it doesn’t protrude like my EVO 4G’s does.
No SD slot and a non-removable battery…if it’s going to be like an iPhone, I might as well get an iPhone.
it does! Go look up the phone on youtube there are plenty of videos showing that the camera lens does indeed protrude.
I sometime wonder if sprint’s management team was imported from Sears/K-Mart.They spent all that money just to sell the iphone when all they needed was more variety of phones. My contract ends this year,so Verizon here I come!!!
I don’t understand your logic. GSII, E3D both are good phones. Nexus is coming. Iphone is here if you want it. With the addition of oneX/EVOx what more could you want from a selection of phones?
BTW, if you are only hoping to score LTE, I might understand, but not giving up my unlimited plan now for anything.
Come and join a carrier that delivers on their promises. Im sorry but sprint has become a crappy prepaid network with high end phones.
