If you've been looking for a way to spice up your EVO's home screen, Adio01 has released several sets of icon packs that make your icons pop, or at least look irradiated and floating. Each pack includes around 300 custom icons you can use in place of the default application icons to spruce up and customize your launcher.
While these do not require root access to install, if your launcher does not support icon switching natively, there are instructions on the icon page on how to apply them using Desktop VisualizeR, an app you may remember from one of our previous home screen tutorials.
While I didn't go for fully decking my phone out with all the great choices, replacing the Google Play icon with a popped-out red glowing Market one does bring me a bit too much joy.
Happy theming!

Ok, kinda give up. Evo4g running cm7. 2 go launcher. How the bleep do I get this to work?? I downloaded a few of them. Gives me opting to un-zip with es file explorer or rom manager. I’ve fiddled with both and can’t get it to “work”. I obviously have the files but go launcher doesn’t recognize them when you long press and change like you would any other time. Please help. Thanks
unzip on your computer, copy the icon pack you want to your evo into a directory on the SD card.
I think on go launcher, you long press on the icon you want to change, edit dock shortcut will appear, change shortcut, folder organizer, select apps, should bring up a list of items you’re wanting to change (change name, change icon) choose change icon. This is a guess, I have not played with GO in a while and am going by instructions cobbled together.
Failing that, download desktop visualizer, follow the instructions in the thread.
But point 1 is to unzip on a computer and copy the icons you want to the SD card
Thanks Paul, I ended up figuring it out. I was able to just unzip directly by opening es file explorer and un packing directly. Files are perfectly stored in the gallery section. Long pressing icon using go launcher and selecting the custom icon option then search in gallery (I’m using quickpic) and bam! Tons of custom icons.
Thanks again
