While several CDMA Sense 3.6/ICS 4.0.3 ROMs have been springing up in the past few days, most have been based on the leaked Virgin Mobile RUU, and have been missing some unique Sprint elements. Not Booster Shot RC2.
Booster Shot touts that it's a port of the Boost Kingdom ROM using a leaked Sprint ICS base. I don't know how one tells if it's an official Sprint leak or not, or whether it matters in the end. The ROM functions as well as most of the Virgin Mobile leak-based ROMs do ten days after the leak: fairly solid and battery efficient.
Along with the base ROM, functionality has been added to incorporate Beats, Bravia, XLoud, TVOut, Panorama, HDR, and a host of other nifty features we've come to expect come standard with custom ROMs these days.
We're still in the early days of development on ICS leaked ROMs on the 3D, so you're probably going to run into something annoying along the way. If you're needing rock solid stability you might want to hold off till next month when an official Sprint release is expected to drop, although no guarantees that will be any more stable, and it will definitely be less full-featured than the custom ROM options out there.
If you're willing to take the ICS HTC EVO 3D plunge, make a nandroid backup, flash the ROM, and let us know what you think of it.

This is the ROM to get if you want to experience ICS early. I’ve been using it for a week now and feel no need to flash anything else…well until a completely AOSP ROM becomes available that is.
Stay away from that VM firmware though…
constant reboots still.I give up on EVO 3D.
Wish I could root my 3D to finally get one of these amazing roms. Stupid hboot 1.50
Do it through HTC! use 4ext recovery with smartflash and its not even noticable that your s-on. I used this step by step.

And if you need more of a spet by spet guide to do it http://androidforums.com/evo-3d-all-things-root/494212-complete-newbies-guide-rooting-flashing-roms-kernels-using-fastboot-updated-4-29-a.html
All this on HBOOT 1.5 S-on

Er, youve been able to root your EVO 3D since day 1. HTCDEv, download 4ext, flash Im running hboot 1.50 S-ON and have no issues.
Question – when did you root your EVO 3D originally? I’m wondering if you have the older radios or what the issue is.
When ICS comes out on Sprint you’re going to have to do a radio update to get it, or any ICS-based ROMs to work. If you’re S-OFF it’ll be a simple flash the updated radios, if not the 12-step stock to firmware update.
I tried everything to get this to work, but unfortunately it simply would not boot. Well, to be more accurate, it kept bootlooping. Oh well :/
did everything include restoring to stock, updating to the newest OTA firmware and radios before flashing back?
running Chad Goodman’s ICS fix kernel?
Shaking a stick at it?
Always classic.. Yup – blame the phone for user lack of reading / knowing what to do. In other words.. “YOUR DOING IT WRONG.”
Wheres a good step by step on getting the new radios for hboot 1.50? I was having troubles with the reboots as well. I have got it working with a kernal change but would like to update my radios
I have newest OTA firmware and radios, and I did a complete wipe but it still bootlooped..
I did flash the boot.img that I extracted from the file via fastboot, but it still didn’t work. The farthest it reached was a screen that would say “Updating Android System” on which there would be a message that said “Finishing boot” but then after that it would reboot and typically continue rebooting without reaching the aforementioned screen. . :/
I was not sure if I should try a different kernal, so I did not… Should I?
Why not just downgrade HBOOT to 1.4 and get S-OFF?
Constant reboots right off the bat? Or after restoring stuff with Titanium Backup? I found that I’ve got to be EXTREMELY careful with what I restore from TiBu or it will go into endless reboots. Games seem ok to restore. Most other apps, would recommend re-installing from Market, then using TiBu to restore data only. Also, don’t restore anything that is in red font!
For me, right off the bat. Made it to the lockscreen once, but then it rebooted. :/
I’m trying to find Chad’s ICS fix kernel atm…

Try here: http://www.androidfilehost.com/main/EVO_3D_Developers/.chad.goodman/KERNELS/KERNELS_FOR_HTC_LEAKED_ROMS_%28sense3.6%29/ – I wouldnt give that link out much though as it may be gone shortly, and yes this is a working link as of 4:56pm cst and thats not the old link even though it looks very similar

Or one up: http://www.androidfilehost.com/main/EVO_3D_Developers/.chad.goodman/KERNELS/
Just an update: it works great with the new kernel!! 3D isn’t working for some reason though :/

Temp kernel (one youre using) screws up 3D viewing. Were hoping for a fix quickly. Basically as I understand it, since the source code has not been released yet for this kernel/rom/leak Chad hex edited a couple of things to force it to work without something that was contained in the firmware update that should not be installed.
I’m liking this ROM. Certainly haven’t played around with everything yet, but it’s very responsive. Battery life seems to be significantly improved too.
I was really looking forward to the face-unlock feature. It’s really cool, but also disappointing. It takes 2-3 seconds to unlock and needs a lot of light. I does not recognize me in a hat or with sunglasses on, which I suppose is reasonable, but still – I wear those things quite a bit. I assume that if I calibrated it with either of those on, it would be unlikely to recognize me without them.
I had one random reboot shortly after flashing, and rebooted it myself when TB could not obtain root rights. I thought I might have to download a new version of busybox, but I just had to open superuser, evidently. Everything seems solid now! Will report back with anything else.
Does 4G work on this ICS rom? I haven’t even tried, but will when I leave home.

Ok, after you take a picture of yourself, you can take more pictures in various attire. The more pictures in different situations you have the better it is at recognizing you. Personally, theres an app I like that does it better than ICS does as you can simply lock down the things you want locked down… but thats a personal preference for me… I only dont want someone messing with my games or dialing numbers. As for 4G, worked last I checked, Im on another ROM at the moment / cant test it out. I seem to have one random reboot with every Sense 4.6/ICS ROM Ive installed, Im starting to think its a feature.
I have not had any of the issues reported here, but I understand the frustration. currently running nocturnal xi36 and loving all that is ics. (No silly firmware needed, came from stock latest OTA)
Downgraded from from 1.5 locked (not relocked) to 1.4
s-off with revolutionary
flashed clockwork mod recovery
wipe data,cache,dalvik
flashed everything I could find that people have been getting headaches from issues, but all seems well.
it sucks that so many are having issues
Anyone else having in call volume issues with this ROM and others similar to it such as the latest ViperROM? The audio can just barely be heard through the ear piece speaker. It’s fine with a bluetooth earpiece or the speaker phone. I’ve tried turning on the hearing aid option as well as several audio adjustment apps without any real change.
Just curious about any others who may be having this problem and if there is a real solution yet or not.
That’s a new one to me?
one thing I want to know, is if the stock HTC keyboard sends data in all ics roms?….so far yes
Here’s a new one on me. After flashing this ROM somehow the bookmarks from my phone show up on Google Chrome on my PC. And all the bookmarks on my PC vanished. Anyone else ever encounter such a thing? Other than this little thing it’s a fantastic ROM so far.
I ended up having significant difficulty with receiving calls on this ROM. Calls would go straight to voicemail and the phone would never ring, and never show the missed call. Now, this happens periodically on Sprint even to my wife’s unrooted stock evo, but not like this. Then I realized that it was only 100% reproducible at home.
I am on a sprint airrave signal at home. Too complicated for me to know why, but here, the call failed 100% of the time, even with full strength signal from the airrave device. Calling out was no problem. I flashed back to infected eternity (sense 3.0) and the problem resolved instantly. Ihaven’t posted this to the mikmik forum yet, but should.
ignore that. it is happening on this ROM too now. I don’t know what is going on. I have power cycled the airrave and it seems to be working fine. I hope flashing this ICS ROM hasn’t f’ed up my radio.
