Without official source code (HTC has not released the CDMA HTC EVO 3D ICS kernel source yet), an Anthrax custom kernel has been compiled and released for rooted EVO 3Ds running Sense 3.6 ROMs based off of the leaked Virgin Mobile package from a couple of months back. The kernel allows for multiple device governors, overclocking, fastcharge, and a host of other things we’ve come to expect from Anthrax kernels in the past.
The current kernel was hacked together from the GSM based source that HTC has released with all of the CDMA requirements added in to function at 100%.
As with any custom kernel, if you’re going to flash it make sure to make a nandroid backup first, just in case it doesn’t play nice with your phone. There are warnings on the development page that first boots can take a very long time, and it does not appear to like some people’s phones, but it seems to be working for most with no issues.
Let us know how it works for you if you choose to install it.
