While the previous version of the Google Play Store worked great for most of us, users of the original HTC EVO 4G, the EVO 3D, and the EVO View 4G had been experiencing problems downloading and updating apps over Sprint’s 4G WiMAX network. Luckily, the latest version of the Play Store seems to fix this problem, and it’s being automatically updated on most devices right now with no further action needed from end users.
To check if your Google Play Store has updated, simply open the app and navigate to Settings > Build version. It should read 3.7.15. If it doesn’t, and you want to manually install the update, simply click the source link below and download the .apk from there.
I am very glad that Google was so quick to respond to this issue, and only wish that Google, Sprint, and HTC could have acted just as quickly in fixing the Google Wallet issue on the EVO 4G LTE. Oh, well – you can’t have everything, I guess.

Yay! It fixes the problems for those of that have WiMAX 4G! Oh wait, that’s not most of us EVO 4G owners. Lol.
When I drove through Chicago a couple months ago I turned on my 4G and connected just so that I could have used that most touted feature on my phone at least once in it’s lifetime.
