Hey Pocketables/G&E readers, we’ve got a new giveaway for you this week. Seidio is giving away a Desktop Charging Cradle Kit (MSRP $39.95) compatible with the HTC EVO 4G LTE, HTC One X, and HTC One S to five lucky readers.
The cradle charges and puts your phone into Dock Mode, which on previous versions of the EVO popped up a nice little weather/time display and is reported on some HTC One-class phones to pop the launcher into landscape mode. I don’t know for certain as I don’t have one in my hands yet but I will see for myself next week.
If you want to enter to win one of these kits, follow us on Twitter or Facebook, post a link to this contest on your social media of choice, and tell us something fun you’ve done with your phone. Our last contest was flooded with comments about how great the camera was, so bonus points for not mentioning the camera. Also, since this works for three separate HTC phones in the One series, mention which phone you have.
Winners will be picked at random and announced Monday, July 23, 2012. Please make sure if you’re commenting that there is a valid method of contacting you if you win. If you have a spam-dump email address and a link to your Facebook, make sure you check your “other” messages that week.
Once again, thanks to Seidio for sponsoring another great giveaway!

A giveaway on my Bday!!?? Wow.. n the exact gift that I was looking forward to!!
I have had loads of fun with this phone but the best was when I was taking a video of the July 4th fireworks over NYC and clicking pics at the same time.. My friends were simply amazed!!
P.S.: My tweet – https://twitter.com/RajAshish1/status/223450655757578240
Happy birthday as well!
No Way! It’s my birthday too! I love the flash on my phone…not too bright and not too dark. The HTC flashlight app is pretty nice too.
Btw, it looks the the dock can be used with the Active case..is this true or just photoshop magic?
I do not have on in my hands yet (supposedly monday) so all I can do is quote the MFG site “- Sturdy connector is moveable and provides flexibility as you switch between a bare device and Seidio SURFACE™, ACTIVE®”
Usually they work with most of their cases by using a little plastic piece that comes out.
and happy birthday

I calmed my daughter as she came out of anesthesia post-op with a game on Daddy’s phone (an EVO 4G LTE).
I want that charging dock!
Lets see the funest thing I’ve done is root my evo then lazypanda s-off it, flashed meanrom that i saw posted on here and loose all voice connectivity with my phone!!! After a call to sprint my voice was back up and running. Then 2 days later I all of a sudden lost all 3g data connectivity so I called sprint and nothing they did got it back. I was at the point where i needed to bring it in the store and have them take a look at it. I had thought my radio died. So now I was stuck and had to s-on and unroot as not to void any warranty. I researched the procedure and found a post of someone having the same issue i had to the T. He s-on unrooted and ran the stock shipped RUU and his 3g came back! I decided I was going to do the same. SUCCESS!!!! It worked for me and fixed my 3g data issues!!! I am so happy I diden’t have to take it to sprint! That is the fun I have had with my evo lte
. After all that I hope I hope I win!!!! LOL!

Dock it like it’s hot.
I love the battery life of the phone it lasts a lot longer then its predecessors!
Probably the most fun thing I’ve done with my phone is turn it into a true media center with the HD link. Now as soon as I come home I can wirelessly hook up my phone to the TV and enjoy Netflix or Youtube, as well as play emulators with the phonejoy controller. Really amazing what modern devices can do.

Gotta agree that I’m impressed by the battery life in my Evo LTE…makes it through the day with plenty of juice left!
HaHa people that have Iphone’s have no idea what they are missing! I have had all 3 EVO’s and I think everyone of them apple could NOT measure up to. Love my EVO Lte and that dock would be very useful at work and home, whether it would be used for watching you tube, netflix or talking on my phone all while using my Bluetooth headset oh and for charging it while using it as my alarm clock.
Actually there’re more than 3 EVOs
. In order: EVO 4G, EVO Shift (blergh), EVO View 4G (tablet), EVO 3D, EVO Design 4G, EVO 4G LTE, EVO V 4G (the 3d repackaged)
Add the GSM variants in and I think there’s another one.
I have 5 EVOs at my house right now… it’s getting absurd
Make a score anouncer with tasker!
I love using my EVO 4G LTE when working out. The music sounds so much better with the Beats Audio feature.
I want one for my EVO LTE yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The camera takes some very good pictures, much better than the old EVO 4G OG. I’m very pleased with the phone so far.
I love going a full day with the phone and not needing to charge. I start out using Cardio Trainer for a 4 mile run with Pandora playing too. Then usage throughout the work day, play some games, facebook, email, phone calls, pictures at my daughters baseball games, etc. and generally have enough to go well into the next day.

The most fun I’ve had with my new Evo 4G LTE is showing everyone else how great it is in comparison to other “like” phones. Sounds self serving, but it has gotten some convinced to actually purchase it…so it’s free advertising for HTC and Sprint. Wouldn’t see it any other way!
I know this will make me sound like a fan boy but the most fun I have with this phone is showing off how fast it is compared to boring iphones and how large my screen is.
I threw my hat into the ring. I have yet to ever win an online contest, so this would be totally sweet.

Love using the HD link to do it all on the big screen.
I need that
The EVO is my all day streaming radio and laptop tether. What more could anyone want?

I used my phone to entertain my mother while she was waiting on her surgeon to come get her for her procedureto try and remove some cancer from her chest. She loved how clean and smooth the phone ran. As soon as she was out of surgery, she sent me to by her a EVO 4G LTE. IT WAS GREAT!!!!!! If I win, I’m going to let her use it.
Oh, excellent! Just what I need to replace my (sad to see them go) Touchstones for my dead Pre.
Well I can tell you it doesn’t put your phone in dock mode and there is no dock app even on the EVO 4G LTE. My friend bought one and returned it. I wish the dock was more like the 3D dock. I’ll take one if it’s free.
I love having Google Play on this phone and the speaker is much better than the 3D. A dock would be nice for at night but I wish it went into dock mode like my Sprint car dock does. I like how in my car my home screen rotates. I love the battery on this phone too. But most of all how thin it is.
Been using my evo lte to play games against my girlfriend on her new android phone, just introduced her to the world of smartphones. Love how much memory I have on it too.

I like the HD screen where you can ge a great view from any angle.
I’m very happy with the battery life ,as well as the large screen! And winning such a cool gadget would make me even happier!
Best thing about my LTE is root access and Wifi Tether. Having my tablet or laptop connected through my phone is a lifesaver when traveling!
Facebooked and tweet for extra karma
Not sure how to link to specific FB post so here is the tweet:

As far as something cool, even though frowned upon, I have to say the camera really has been awesome for me. As far as trying to get (good) pics of my 2-year-old, my Evo LTE is hands down better than any other camera we have. That and the battery actually lasting more than I would have imagined…so many great surprises!
My Favorite moment was about 30 minutes ago when the 4g LTE towers in Atlanta Went LIVE! Too bad it was just a test and went off 3 minutes later…
Tweet and Photo!

Streaming Music started just as fast as on WIFI!
Second favorite moment is using wifi tether on my rooted EVO 4G LTE to post this since the WIFI at work SUCKS!
I like playing Chinese poker on my EVO 4G LTE from Sprint!

Took it to Panama City Beach a 7 hr. road trip from my home. Navigation, restaurant searches, pictures (300+), just about everything my EVO did the job!!
Here is the link to my Evo LTE vacation story! Please read and give me a shot at winning! http://www.facebook.com/AnkhLeafar/posts/435223903167202?notif_t=like
My facebook is set to private so in case you all cant read it, here is what i posted:
My Evo LTE is a lot of things: It is my TV remote for both my samsung and LG smart tvs; it is my personal assistant, which constantly reminds me in and out of work what I need to do and should not forget; it is my credit card, much easier to pop out of my pockets and swipe it by a paypass machine; it is an information source, with browsing and internet speeds faster than anyone expect out of small device.
I recently went on vacation with my wife, and my Evo LTE was deemed indispensable to make the vacation so flawless: We used its accurate Navigation to find Six Flags Fiesta Texas, which was kind hard to get to. We used the phone to show our online tickets to the person at the entrance. We also used it to quickly find reviews on which were the rides you must not miss at Six Flags. I used google wallet to keep hydrated, since the park featured coke machines with paypass modules installed. When leaving the park, I noticed people trying to get picked up were having a hard time getting reception, because the park is located behind a big old cliff. I was one of the few who got exceptional reception and call quality amongst the noisy environment, and managed to call the hotel shuttle without a problem. At the hotel, I forgot my regular HDMI cable for my laptop but I happened to have my MHL adapter, so I used to watch anime with my wife at our hotel room, after an awesome day at Six Flags. I did also, of course, take lots of pictures and record some video to keep some memories. I didnt wanna mention the camera, but I mention it for one reason: Everything above happened in a single charge. True, all day usage. I could not have been happier. Oh, and by the way, my wife has an I Phone and it was deemed useless throughout the trip. LOL.
Count me in!!
I’ve used panoramic mode on the camera to take pictures of the downtown Chicago skyline, as well as artsy pics with moving objects where the object shows up in each panned image (and the funny thing is, I’m not very artistic at all). I’ve used HDR to take incredibly clear pictures of my cats when they’re being ridiculous in the dark. I’ve recorded video of said ridiculous cats while taking pictures of them.
I liked my EVO 4G’s camera, but the EVO 4G LTE’s camera changes everything.
