A new site containing all known available ROM Update Utilities for the HTC series of phones launched today with the goal of putting them all in one, easy-to-remember location.
Currently, there are 36 phones served by the new HTCRUU domain, with my personal favorite lines of HTC EVO phones represented (Supersonic, Shooter, Jewel, etc). Multiple RUUs exist for most phones on the site.
ROM Update Utilities are programs that generally run on Windows machines and guide your connected phone through the process of installing new radio, firmware, boot software, and in most cases returns the phone to a state like it would be right out of the box.
One of the great things about most RUUs is you do not require root or knowledge of ADB commands, and they can be used to reset your phone to stock with all the latest over the air updates. This can be useful if you don’t have a working phone or WiFi but do have internet.

WOOT WOOT!!! Yeah this site is going to be useful for sure!!
Although football on xda has a similar thing going on, I know the guy behind the site is going to keep it updated with the latest and greatest!!
Let’s just hope HTC doesn’t start acting like Apple…hahahaha
Good Article BTW!!
I never knew how extensive Football’s stuff was…do you know if he goes beyond EVO lines?
I couldnt access the jewel ruus just kept sending me to Android police site
Isn’t this akin to this website?

It appears very much so.
This is going to be a very useful site
This would be a lot easier than having to google search for roms and their files
I think I’m seeing a pattern: two comments per article. I like consistency.
Awesome information, I will pass along to all my HTC Flash friends and family.
Newbee here. I had an Evo 4G and was introduced to the world of rooting. Now I have the LTE and am wondering how an RUU is different? What has changed?
Should be useful
I am going to look for my RUU right now!
this is very helpful!
What is the URL for the RUU site?
almost all articles here have a thing in brackets at the end [htcruu] is this one that you can click… the url however is http://www.htcruu.com
This is a great resource. Do not have to search all over to get a good RUU in case need to reset. Very Handy.
Very nice to know. Saving to favorites now lol
This is great thanks for sharing this.
I actually ran across this and it saved my ‘bacon’. My EVO 3D was not ringing on incoming calls. I tried everything (radio re-flash, different ROMs and kernels). I flashed the latest RUU for ICS and phone rang every time. I had to unlock once again through HTCdev, and I ended up with hboot 1.58. However, I had previously gained s-OFF with the paperclip method. All is working on Mean ROM and a Chad Goodman kernel. Long note, but simply bookmark this RUU site……
Terrific. Radios and all huh? yes i can see how this would be handy indeed!
