Supposed 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro shows off in front of camera ahead of launch

Next week Tuesday, Apple will be holding an event. Everyone assumes that the iPad mini will be introduced at this event, but supposedly, that won’t be the only product that Apple’s introducing. According to a variety of sources and insiders, Apple will also be expanding its Retina MacBook Pro lineup by adding the long-awaited 13-inch model.

New pictures of what is allegedly the laptop have been posted to Chinese website WeiPhone that seem to confirm that it’s close to a release. The photos show off the thinness of the device, as well as a few ports, the logic board, and the battery structure.

Most specs are unknown at this time, although we do know that the 13-inch Mac will have a resolution of 2560 x 1600.

Although I recently upgraded my current 13-inch MacBook Pro to an SSD to postpone the purchase of a new laptop, I’m still really excited to see what Apple can do with a 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro. I know for a fact that it won’t be a cheap machine, but it’ll still be interesting to see just how powerful this laptop will be to run that insanely large resolution – and how much of a hit performance, battery life, and heat dissipation will take as a result of whatever hardware is inside.

The gallery is pasted below, complete with all 12 pictures of (unfortunately) varying quality.

What are you most excited for Apple to announce on Tuesday?
