Microsoft’s Community Video Tips program expands to cover new products and services
Microsoft’s first foray into its Community Video Tips program wrapped up about a month ago, but it’s back for round two. This time, it’s focused on the new products and services that Microsoft has to offer this fall. The program is designed to help new users learn about how to use new and updated technologies like Windows 8, Windows RT, Windows Phone 8, Windows Phone 7, Xbox 360, and Outlook.com.
But in order for this initiative to work, Microsoft needs the community to help by submitting video tips. Anyone can submit tips on YouTube up to seven minutes in length. And, while it isn’t the focus of the program, Microsoft will be giving away an ASUS VivoTab RT to US residents once the campaign ends at 11:59 p.m. Pacific on December 16, 2012. The Outlook.com team, which is sponsoring the Community Video Tips program, will be giving away another VivoTab RT for Outlook.com-specific tips.
I plan on submitting many tips over the next month, and if you have great ideas, you can too. More importantly, if you’re wondering how to use Windows 8/RT, Windows Phone 8, Outlook.com, or any other Microsoft product or service, check out the MVP Award Program’s Community Video Tips playlist on YouTube.
