We’ve already been discussing a little of what we might see from HTC in 2013, but we’re finally getting some leaked shots of the HTC M7, the upcoming flagship HTC device that many anticipate will be announced at Mobile World Congress in May. As previous rumors suggested, this device does seem to keep the three hardware keys found on the current HTC One devices and the HTC EVO 4G LTE, although the latest version of Sense (possibly named Sense 5.0) does look very different.
Namely, the clock widget is very different than what we’ve seen in past iterations of Sense, although app icons are also modified quite a bit. It also appears that HTC might be working on some large, rectangular widgets that will provide users with useful information (does anyone else think this looks a little like Windows Phone 8?). A few hardware revisions include the flash for the back the camera switching sides from previous versions, and the front-facing camera also appears to be on the right-hand side of the phone.
We don’t know a whole lot about the device at this point, including whether or not Sprint’s version will be branded with the EVO or One name. Stay tuned for more, but in the meantime, does this look like something you might buy?

It looks ugly…
Agreed. It almost looks like an EVO 3D to me. The ratio looks a little too thin of height to width.
Hey. I like the way my EVO 3D looks.
I think people should be concentrating more on Sense 5.0′s look, frankly. It looks like HTC is shaking things up a bit.
These pictures actually look better than the others ive seen of this phone.. its something i would buy the other photos made it look like a windows 8 phone.. but i still prefer the white edge to edge screen i saw
I looks great, but I’m sure HTC will find a way to ruin it.
I don’t know. This phone looks great. I don’t know the specs, but the way that Nvidia is hitting so much of the market, I want a Tegra 4 with LTE in my next phone. In addition, HTC has me really worried with their S-OFF and Bootloader restrictions lately.
I am considering a Nexus, LG, or Samsung.
I shouldn’t have to root to have a properly working ROM. If I do root, have to deal with 32-bit Linux Live CDs and all that come with it to get proper S-OFF. And I want timely (and properly working) updates. None of that is coming from HTC lately.
I’m assuming it will have the typical Evo dedicated camera button, and if so I will be buying the hell out of it. I knew if I dragged my feet long enough on the purchase of the 4G LTE, HTC would come out with something new. Very exciting.
Are you guys nuts? If you want a phone with tiles then go buy a Windows phone. Sense was all about the cool 3D icons and weather effects and apps. If they remove that then I’d rather have stock or even touchwiz for that matter. If sense really does look like the above I would never buy it. I’m not going to buy it anyway unless it has a removable battery and a microSD card slot (which it won’t), so it’s safe to say my next phone will probably be a SGS4. And yours should be too, I mean the GS2 has Jelly Bean and I have JB with a proximity sensor bug and a million other bugs.
This is obviously a very early test unit. The design is completely unrefined and filled with place holders. Don’t take this as the final release version. Wait and see.
Show me where the placeholders are?
Also, 4G signal? This clearly can’t be on sprint…hardy har har.
Would buy it is a second except no sim card or removable battery. Why do phone manufacturers get it about 90% right and not finish the job?
Opps ment SD card instead of sim, sorry
i learned my lesson, nexus for me and an out of sprint contract once i get it.
It looks like the M7 is going to have the same fate as the One X did. There are things that HTC could do to differentiate themselves from Samsung which they are not doing. Instead of the M7 having the same size screen and resolution as the Galaxy S 4 is probably going to have maybe the could make a top tier device with a 4.5 inch screen with a 1600 by whatever resolution. They could sacrifice thickness a bit and go with a larger capacity battery (2500 mah +). If they try do battle Samsung for thinnest device with reasonable battery life Samsung is pretty much always going to win.
Finally, have a microsd card slot and if possible, removable battery. I think those two features was the tipping point for many consumers who choose the GS3 over the One X – it was for me and few other people I know.
Not budging on it. I was checking out the latest lg Optimus G, quad processors and 13mp hd camera! Sd card and although I’ve never had to pull the battery. A removable battery!
to be honest, im looking at the note 2… i play a lot of games on my phone and that screen… its just so big… and out there. it looks like one of those nerdy guys phones ok? but idk… it depends on the reviews.. i realized not too long ago how much i’m unpleased with sense so i’m thinking samsung…
My upgrade won’t be due since Sprint has changed yearly upgrades. I’ll keep my EVO LTE that I have now.
Won’t waste my time…looks likethe same phone I have now(e4glte). HTC is commiting suicide! Sense looks ok but too overpowering to complement an android device. Won’t gamble with late buggy updates, so Nexus or Galaxys4 for me on another carrier besides Sprint.
Android, now with Live Tiles! I am 90% certain e4glte will be my last Evo.
Yup bye bye HTC it was a pleasant at the beggining. troublesome at the middle and infuriating at the end. **** you HTC.
