Google launches Chrome packaged app for Google Keep

Google Keep Chrome app - for some reason we don't have an alt tag herePerhaps to celebrate yesterday’s arrival of Chrome packaged apps to a wider audience, Google today announced an official app for Google Keep, Google’s new note-taking app available in Google Drive on the web and as an Android app. Bringing this to Chrome in the form of an official packaged app makes it much more appealing to use and will hopefully allow the service to expand its user base.

Perhaps best of all, it works offline, and will simply sync up once your computer gets a steady network connection again.

Since it’s a packaged app, it won’t show up in search for most Chrome users right now, so you’ll have to download it using the official link below. Once packaged apps trickle their way down into beta and stable channels, though, I expect that this will show up properly in the Chrome Web Store, as it should.

So, Chrome OS users, what will it be for you going forward – Scratchpad or Google Keep?
