Left-handers, beware of the HTC One!

Left hand HTC One Right hand HTC One

If you’re left-handed and have been considering the HTC One, you may want to think twice. In case you have no idea what I’m talking about, a small group of HTC One users are complaining about an issue with the device in which signal quality is basically shot when holding the phone in your left hand. The issue is so bad that some Sprint reps are actually asking people whether or not they are left-handed, and steering them in other directions if they are.

The issue can be seen in the pictures above – the first shows only two bars of signal strength while being held in the left hand, while the second shows 4-5 bars while being held in the right. The two pictures were taken at the same time, in the same place. This obviously can negatively affect call quality, data speeds, and more.

A quick Google search also uncovered this video, embedded below.

I thought death grip issues were only for iSheep! In any case, are any of you experiencing this issue with your HTC One?

Thanks, Paul!
