We covered a bit of Yankee’s Sense 5 ports for the HTC EVO 4G LTE back when it was in the old base, but it’s been updated in the past couple of days to Android 4.3 and includes a functioning Zoe camera.
For those who have updated their firmware to the Android 4.3 release that was yanked from HTC, and who are S-OFF and looking for a different Sense ROM with the new base, this is probably the best Sense 5 port you’re going to locate (at least today).
The Zoe camera allows you to make pictures that move, yet for some reason they don’t work with Vine. Zoe also does a bunch of other neat stuff, although which portions of it have been been ported over are not listed and I’m not sure yet as I’m unfortunately having to use the EVO 4G LTE as a phone today instead of a ROM flashing machine.
WiFi tether still evidently remains an issue as it does with most 4.3 Sense ROMs at the moment on the EVO 4G LTE; however, it appears that will be resolved in the next release, although there’s not an ETA available at this point on that.
Remember that at this point with this ROM you have to be on the new 4.3 firmware. Being on the new firmware means you have to have a new recovery. If you’re not S-OFF, attempting all of this could make you fail very very badly and not be able to recover your phone. So tread cautiously if you’re not already at 4.3.
