Elivebuy Quick Charge 2.0 10400mAh Power Bank review

Once you go to a Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 spec charger, you probably don’t go back. Elivebuy has produced a half-pound Quick Charge 2.0 portable power bank to recharge your phone at just about the fastest rate possible with a one-shot 5V/2.1amp , 9V/1.8amp, 12v/1.8amp USB out power bank.

Elivebuy Quick Charge 2.0 10400mAh Power Bank reviewIt’s not the fastest Quick Charge 2.0 readings I’ve seen, which may be because the fastest was on a 2.4amp base charger and this is 2.1, but it’s consistently at about +1800 (I like my charge rates like I like my tequila,) and at a little over half a pound it also doesn’t weigh you down too much (unlike my tequila).

The Elivebuy Quick Charge 2.0 10400mAh Power Bank comes with an 8-10″ MicroUSB cable, and a breathable mesh protective sack that seems to shed on contact. I think shaking the sack a bit has caused all the loose fur to fall out of the sack, but meh, just something I noticed.

I also noticed the unit looks a little bit like a happy robot laughing, but that may just be because I haven’t slept much lately.

10,400mAh is enough to charge most phones four times from dead to full, although you should assume that no matter what the brand there will be some power loss due to conversion and you can only expect to get 80-90% of what the charging battery claims (loss is usually on the phone side).

It’s a good little battery, but at the weight and approximate shape of a flask, you may find yourself being inspected closely if you try and bring it to sports events.

Overall, decent little charger, not quite the fastest I’ve run across, good price, doesn’t feel like it’s easily breakable but also doesn’t feel like it’s ruggedized, so you might want to carry it in the protective case they included.

The Elivebuy Quick Charge 2.0 10400mAh Power Bank is available from Amazon for $26.99
