iClever 24W Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 charger review

Hey all, this is a simple overview of the little iClever 24W Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 charger that FREAKING COULD (hit nearly +3000mA) in testing or 99.10% of the battery life in an hour, making it the quickest Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 charger I have yet to record.

iClever 24W Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 chargerOf course the way these things work you get that huge charging rate for a limited portion of the charging cycle, but still we’re looking at charging a dead 3000mA HTC 10 to full in about an hour and thirty if I did the math right and the below 15% curve is the same.

The claim is that it’s 4X faster than a conventional charger, which at 80% efficiency probably means they’re comparing to a 1000mA wall wart charger, but still. This thing filled my battery up like nobody’s business.

The outlet prongs also fold away so you can toss it in a pocket and not get pronged. The only thing I’m not particularly a fan of on this is the light when it’s charging. I’m a bit fed up with every device having an indicator that it’s working. There’re no dark rooms any more.

Anyway, we’ll be doing a giveaway of a few of these sometime in the next week or two as soon as I can finagle some shipping cash and a contest that works for people, but in the meantime if you want to get your hands on a dedicated 24 watt charger you can grab one at Amazon for under $15.

Considering when the Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 phones hit the market the charger price was in the $40 range for a single port 18W charger (for months,) I’d say we’ve made some serious steps in the right direction.

I’m not certain how much of the performance here is iClever’s design in the iClever 24W Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 charger and how much is a Qualcomm chip, but it’s pretty nice at a good price.
