Google Assistant getting some neat new features

To summarize Google’s list of Assistant updates (which you can read completely here):

Broadcasting while you’re out has always been possible, but now with a reply feature you can ask someone at home whether you should get the Advent Beer Calendar at Costco or wait a few more weeks and get a reply. Replies will show as a transcribed notification.

Still not quite the walkie-talkie I want it to be, but better.

Recipe recommendations coming to the visual versions of Assistant

Animated Google demo

The ability to set up family routines with specific characters from various children’s cartoons telling them to clean up, get ready for a bath, etc.

More family friendly stories coming for when you ask Google to tell you a story.

Roku devices are evidently controllable from Google Assistant now.

Routines are coming to the Clock app on Android phone.

Good update, would buy again, 4 stars.
