ICS anyone

Hey folks,

ICS was leaked for the Note. I have been running a version of it for about two weeks and am enjoying it.

I hope to see an official version soon and I hope they release the files needed so that custom ROMs can be created. The current ROMs are tweaked and themed but I cannot wait to see what will happen when the source code is released.

Currently I think there are 4 ROMs out, maybe more.

Here is the ROM that I am currently on. Nothing fancy but it is ICS.

So ICS remains safe on the I717?

There are all sorts of warnings on xda about ICS causing hard bricking on the GT-N7000. Destroys the emmc requiring a new motherboard.

I have been running ICS for weeks now, have used separable different ROMs. I have had FCs here and there but that is it.

I have used the tablet mod and more.

I am currently on Troposhpere (spelling) with the blue print theme and would be happy if nothing more happened.

And yes this is for the I717.

I got this one from samsung galaxy note facebook page and I have the same question too.

I only bought my Galaxy Note because the ICS upgrade was announced as being issued q1 2012. Have Samsung employed the idiots from Dell who did the same to the streak 5 and effectively killed that device?

I downloaded Kies and installed ICS this morning. My goodness, I have a brand new phone! It is smoother, more responsive and it seems to be easier on the battery also. And the additional apps are awesome!

Had it for a few days now and am happy enough with it. Haven't really noticed any significant new features, but overall usage is smoother and battery life definitely improved.
I do have a few new odd rotation issues in email and an occasional hang when unlocking screen. I use nolock to avoid the unlock screen and I'd guess that is the issue for the latter.
The one thing that annoys me is when using Dolphin browser I now get some longish page load times when going back to a previous page; it often just shows the background color for 20-30 secs until I scroll back to top of page.
