I'm new to the EVO line (and this forum, obviously) but not to Android devices. I'm curious, are there not MANY flashlight apps available for free on the market? Why the need to download this one? Is it just superior in some way, or strictly personal preference?
Thanks! |

This was awesome! Anyway you could get the Skype that's on four model (e.g. Nexus S) that has video? Or the Hulu app on a few devices? It's really annoying having the hottest phone on the planet and not having the latest apps.

Other apps might have more features, but they potentially have a lot of bloat such as adware, spyware, or malicious code, as well as interface, memory, and size clunkiness that comes with having more features... all which potentially compromise privacy, battery life, or speed. Not saying there aren't elegant non-official flashlight apps either, but given how many there are, this just saves you the trouble of having to sift through the chaff. Of course, the above fears could apply to any app- even official ones (NASCAR anyone?)- and a bad app isn't the end of the world, but since you asked, that's the difference. |

Nice thing with the EVO 3D is you can delete the official sprint apps!

I like the title, *Thought I would share...*, as it was an afterthought after you apparently hands down seamlessly solved an issue 1,000's of us were weeping about.
I had the blackberry tour for 2 long years and it is falling apart. I use my ipod touch 1st gen, almost just as much as my blackberry. The EVO 3d was my way to tie both of them together, however, when i couldnt find the netflix app I was heartbroken. your Download links finished.. I will test these apps before i post the rest Results: well, screwed it up first time because it prompted me security questions about not DL apps from market. after the mishap on netflix install, went back and installed the flashlight with no issue and on second attempt. And it worked, watching IP MAN 2, streaming No Problem. YOU MUST WATCH IP MAN and IP MAN 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks again S4PAT BTW: I used the original post links from 6/24 |

What a coincidence... was just watching Ip Man2 last night (great use of the device + netflix). Now eagerly awaiting the official kickstand case.
