TV Show Favs for Android hits version 3.0

TV Show Fav is one of my favorite apps on Android, and its widget is perhaps the thing I’ve gotten most “what’s that”-questions about. Because of that, I thought I would take the release of version 3 as a chance to point the spotlight at it for a little bit.

TV Show Favs is what TV guides should have been like. You add your favorite shows, and then it helps you keep track of them by showing you schedules, helping you to create todo lists for existing episodes, look up information about shows, and so on. In short, it helps you keep track of your favorite TV shows. I personally only use the excellent widget front-end for it and leave the rest of the app alone, but there are a lot of features available in the app.

The 3.0 version of the app most notably upgraded the UI of the main app, perhaps unnecessarily. It also changed the entire payment system, now having individual features as in-app purchase options in the free app instead of having a separate premium key. Those who already paid for it will get all the in-app purchase options for free.
