The Amazon Appstore is offering several premium games for free at the moment, in addition to the free app of the day deal that Amazon already runs, with the addition of the Amazon Appstore Ultimate Games Collection.
Currently the list includes a few games that have proven themselves as potential contenders for the title of greatest Android (and Sega) games of their time, such as Angry Birds Space (standard and Kindle Tablet Edition) Quell, Fruit Ninja, and Sonic the Hedgehog. Some of the other offerings I’m not very familiar with include Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run, Hambo, Battle Bears Fortress, and Bloons TD 5 (which is evidently an incredible tower defense game).
All combined, there’s around $17 worth of games available for free.
The Amazon Appstore Android application requires a connected Amazon account, which you can get for free. Something to note, however, is that if if you’ve just got an Amazon account, you can purchase the free games and download them at a later time if you decide you want them. I’ve currently purchased in the neighborhood of 600 premium apps on the free app of the day program, based on potentially using them later.
The promotion supposedly ends this Monday, so grab them while you can.
