T-Mobile becomes first US carrier to offer unlimited calling to mobile phones in Europe, Asia, and more

T-Mobile ITTM

In another UNcarrier move aimed at increasing market share and eliminating yet another customer pain point, T-Mobile unveiled new international plans on Sunday that include unlimited calling to mobile phones in countries in Europe, Asia, and more. This is the first time that such a plan has been offered by any mobile carrier in the US (at least to my knowledge).

There are more than thirty countries that now include unlimited mobile calling in the new $15 Stateside International Talk and Text with Mobile plan:

  • Canada
  • China
  • Cyprus
  • Czech Republic
  • Denmark
  • France
  • Germany
  • Greece
  • Guadeloupe
  • Hong Kong
  • Hungary
  • India
  • Indonesia
  • Ireland
  • Italy
  • Latvia
  • Lithuania
  • Malaysia
  • Martinique
  • Netherlands
  • Norway
  • Poland
  • Portugal
  • Saint Martin
  • Singapore
  • South Korea
  • St. Barthélemy
  • Sweden
  • Thailand
  • United Kingdom
  • Venezuela

Customers who don’t plan on calling any mobile numbers can still get the old $10 plan, which includes unlimited texting to over 200 countries and unlimited calling to landlines in over 70 countries. This plan has been renamed “Stateside International Talk and Text.”

The two $7 plans still exist, too, now calling “Stateside International Talk” and “Stateside International Text.” Full details on all of T-Mobile international options can be found at the source link below.
