Android Wear 5.0.2 rolls out to LG G Watch, Moto 360, Sony Smartwatch 3, and more

Android WearAndroid Wear owners might be glancing at their wrists a bit more often today, as they wait for a new software update to arrive. So far, owners of the Sony Smartwatch 3, LG G Watch, and Moto 360 have reported Android Wear 5.0.2 hitting their devices. According to my watch, the new build for the LG G Watch is LWX49K, and others have reported the same build number for the Sony Smartwatch 3. The Moto 360 is now apparently at LWX49L.

There aren’t any new features in this update, but lots of bug fixes and stability improvements. Some users are reporting small speed improvements as well, but that could just be a placebo affect.

As Android Police points out, one interesting aspect of this update, according to a thread in the official Wear Help Forums, involves multiple issues with Google Fit, including discrepancies in step counting between Android Wear watches and Android phones. With the latest update to Google Play Services, along with this update to Android Wear, Fit’s syncing problems are supposedly fixed.

Have you noticed any additional improvements or changes on your Android Wear watch?
