Infographic: The history of gaming

People like sending us infographics to use. I post them when my kid’s been a terror at school.

Presented for your amusement: The History of Gaming.

History of Gaming

Appears to be missing Colecovision, Atari’s above the 2600, Commodore 64 and other non-PC gaming. No Doom, Goldeneye, or Commander Keen? Seems they missed a chunk. Calling Mortal Kombat (1993) one of the first two player fighting games also gets a raised eyebrow (Street Fighter 1987, Karate Champ 1984). The 1979 Microvision was probably the first interchangeable game cartridge handheld system, not the 1989 Game Boy.  Game Boy just was the most popular coming in 10 years later and a whole lot cheaper and better.
