Where this varies is that sticky pad (micro suction,) can be used again and again and again and again and you get the point. It doesn’t appear to lose sticking power, nor does it leave a sticky residue.
Don’t want the kickstand today? Pop it off. Want it again? Stick it back on. Stick getting a little less sticky? Wash off the dirt, put it back on.
Will it work on your tablet? It’s works on eni Tab! (“any tab,” see what they did there?)
Micro suction? Imagine a gazillion little suction cups. Unless they’re using a different micro suction than this.
So, tablet arm/kickstand, fairly old school. I’m going to gloss over about how adjustable it is or how it can get your tablet positioned at pretty much any angle you want. It works.
You’re probably now only worried that it won’t hold your tablet or will pop off easily. I did some tests for you. You’re welcome.
First up, 12 oz Coke Zero coming in at 12.52oz with weight of can. Very little of the coke can surface area is actually adhered due to the way the bottom of the can is designed. Shaken, twisted, had to pry it off with the included pry card. No danger of falling.
Next up, LG L196WTQ-BF 19″ flat screen monitor. According to the link that’s 4.6 kilograms/10.14 pounds. I’m not sure if this is weight with or without cords. I tested it with cords. This isn’t a very good picture as I’m holding the monitor and trying to take a picture. Had to pry the suction part off of the monitor with the included credit-card release. Never felt like the suction was in danger.
Let’s put it up against a 15 pound weight and forget to take pictures!
(imagine a picture of dumbbell being lifted by that product)
Lifted, but felt weird, 15lb dumbbell very easy to unstick, also fairly porous. Don’t have a good feeling at this point about the 25 pounder. Am believing that I’m going to drop a 25 pound weight and scare the people below me.
25 pound dumbbell for the fatality – you can watch a video of the eniTAB360 losing it’s retaining ring (still can’t find it,) if you want. RIP 1/2 of my eniTAB360 shipment. I’m not sure if it’s broken or simply detached as the ring went flying, hit the ceiling, and I can’t locate it in a 12×14 office.
I would say this is probably not safe for use on 25 pound tablets. That said, with the average tablet weight coming in at under a pound I don’t think this will be a problem for most. I’d trust it to hold up to ten tablets at a time, not much more.
