You’ll need to be a new Spotify Premium subscriber, or have like, you know, another email address, sign up for the Spotify Premium three-month trial, then upgrade to the Spotify Premium for Family program, (this will knock your three month trial down to two months of Premium Family and not charge your credit card.)
It should be noted there’s a big ol *while supplies last. on the Premium for Family program. They’re currently lasting, but no guarantee you’re not going to be out $0.99.
You’ll get two emails, one outlining how to get the Google Home Mini. Do that.
Set a reminder for two months out if you want to cancel the Spotify Premium Family (which will be $14.99 a month if you don’t).
Rubs hands together, cackle, etc.
You’ll get this email as a note:
As I’m not sure who exactly discovered this bit of mischief, I’m crediting Android Authority and thanking Mike for sending this in!
Or in two months we’ll all discover there was something on page 192 of the Terms and Conditions which said you couldn’t do this.
Update: aww man, they added tax! $1.08 for me. [sad trombone]
