YouTube Vanced. Added features, fewer (if any) ads.

If you’re a not a Play Music / Youtube Premium subscriber, or whatever Google is calling it this week, chances are you’ve tried out YouTube Vanced. If not, read on and then go install it.

Vanced gives you some of the Premium advanced features without the ads, and allows for background playback, adblocking, forcing VP9 or HDR, PiP, loop/repeat, and some other neat features.

It appears from forum posts that in the past couple of weeks have seen advertisements and some issues related to YouTube speed playback creep in, but hopefully they’re squished soon enough.

YouTube Vanced

YouTube Vanced comes in Non-root, root, and Magisk flavors for whatever your needs are.

It’s been around for a while, but as I’ve been pretty much a space cadet when it comes to root and tricks, thought I’d plug it as the start of me attempting to cover root again.

Anyway, should you wish to try it out, head on over to the xda thread and grab it from there. You won’t find it (safely,) anywhere else.
