You want some free streaming?

With the world effectively shut down, several companies are stepping up to the plate to offer free streaming services for while we’re all effectively on lockdown / social isolation.

Here’re a few I’ve played with so far:

Sling is offering a bunch of free content no signup required.

Zoom web conferencing allows you to talk with all your friends at once right now. 40 minute limit seems to not be there at night. Had a group hangout last night with eight friends. I’m including this because you need to talk to some people.

Plex’s free version has Plex Movies and TV.

Kanopy is a streaming service with thousands of films, supported by your local library.

Pluto TV is a ton of channels, some good, some bad. Commercials appear at random rather than in spots you’d expect them to be, but other than that it’s got some good content.

Tubi TV ad supported, decent selection.

Got any more free streaming sites? Feel free to let us know.
